Research Interests

My research examines how children and families adapt following adversity, with a particular focus on posttraumatic growth, resilience, and the social and environmental factors that shape recovery. I am interested in understanding how trauma affects children's mental and physical health over time, why some youth experience positive psychological changes following adversity, and how these processes differ across developmental stages and diverse life experiences. Through community-engaged partnerships, my work seeks to identify modifiable factors that promote healthy development and well-being among children exposed to trauma.
