Allsup Entrepreneurship Summer Camp Merges with Breach to Present Lift Off

Lift Off

Saint Louis University's Chaifetz Center of Entrepreneurship has prepared high-school students for the past 13 years to be the new business leaders of tomorrow. Now, the Center proudly announces that its 2019 Allsup Entrepreneurship Academy will  partner with St. Louis tech company Breach to present Lift Off, a 10-day residential camp where selected high-school students can develop their own Smart City initiative that incorporates entrepreneurship and emerging technologies to address real-world problems.

"Through this new collaboration, not only will students receive the entrepreneurship training offered from our Allsup Entrepreneurship Academy, but they will have the opportunity to incorporate new technologies and work around the clock with their teammates during their stay on campus as they work to further develop their ideas," said Laura Brugger-Gardner, high school program coordinator for the Chaifetz Center of Entrepreneurship.

The camp, which will allow students to live on SLU's campus for more than a week, will be offered this July.

Upon completion of the Lift Off residential camp, students will have the opportunity to enter a 10-month cohort to continue developing their entrepreneurial solutions while collaborating with SLU, local entrepreneurs and community representatives.

Breach's mission echoes that of the Chaifetz School of Business by enhancing future career opportunities, developing healthy apprenticeships and building workforce communities through the arts and emerging technologies.
