Chaifetz School Undergraduate Programs Nationally Ranked in 2022 Best Colleges Guide from U.S. News & World Report

The Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business at Saint Louis University has again been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a top university for undergraduate business programs. The school moved up in rankings for entrepreneurship (No.17) and finance (No. 38), and maintained a top 20 national ranking (No. 16) for international business. The Chaifetz School also remained nationally ranked (No. 106) on the list of overall undergraduate business schools.

The rankings were released this week as part of U.S. News’s annual “Best Colleges” guide for 2022 and were based on assessments from deans and faculty at peer institutions.

“Thanks to the work of our world-renowned faculty and extraordinary students, the Chaifetz School has long been recognized as a leader in undergraduate business education,” said Barnali Gupta, Ph.D., Edward Jones Dean of the Chaifetz School of Business. “These assessments by our AACSB-accredited peers show that the Chaifetz School remains among the best business schools in the nation, and we are honored to be held in such high regard in the world of business education.”

Saint Louis University's Chaifetz School of Business received national rankings from U.S. News & World Report's 2022 "Best Colleges" guide for its  undergraduate programs in entrepreneurship, finance and international business, as well as overall undergraduate business programs.

The Chaifetz School is home to the Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship, which has supported new venture development of current students and alumni and helped foster an entrepreneurial mindset within the Chaifetz School and across the university. The center is currently in the final stages of a national search for a new director.

The Department of Finance at the Chaifetz School includes SLU’s Applied Portfolio Management course, which provides undergraduate finance students hands-on equity experience through active management of nearly $1.9 million in university endowment funds. In 2020, Applied Portfolio Management launched an industry mentorship program that pairs students with industry professionals to gain insight from the field of equity research and management.

“We are incredibly excited about what the future holds for the Chaifetz School of Business,” said Gupta. “We strive to provide our students with an innovative and impactful education that creates successful outcomes after graduation, and student success will always remain our top priority.”

The undergraduate rankings are the second time in 2021 that the Chaifetz School has been recognized by U.S. News as a top school for business. In March, the school received top-20 rankings for three separate disciplines as MBA specialties. The part-time MBA continued its ranking as a top-100 program in the country and the school’s data-analytics focused One-Year MBA program was recognized for the first time as a top-75 program.
