Academie Lafayette

Académie Lafayette (AL), established in 1999, is one of Missouri’s longest-standing public charter schools, serving students from kindergarten through grade 12. AL offers a unique French-language-immersion program for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, alongside the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme for grades six through eight. Its high school provides a more traditional academic curriculum with an emphasis on earning foreign language credits. Saint Louis University became AL’s charter school sponsor in 2022.

Sponsor Evaluation

Through the Policy Research in Missouri Education (PRiME) Center at Saint Louis University’s School of Education, SLU regularly evaluates its sponsored charter schools. These evaluations provide accountability to the public and school community, highlight strengths and areas for growth, and document the impact of the school's work with students and families.
