Saint Louis University’s anesthesiology residency begins with a clinical base year that is in compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)’s Residency Review Committee requirements. We also provide a comprehensive practice management rotation in the first year.
Application Process
Each year, SLU offers ten categorical positions (PGY 1-4). All applications to our residency program are made online through ERAS — the Electronic Residency Application Service from the Association of American Medical Colleges.
ERAS uses the internet to transmit residency applications, letters of recommendation, dean's letters, transcripts and other supporting credentials from applicants and medical schools to residency program directors. - USMLE or COMLEX transcript
- Three letters of recommendation, including one from an anesthesiologist
- CV
- Personal statement
- Medical school transcript

- Valid ECFMG certificate or status report (International Medical Graduates only)
