Junior Orthopaedic Fellowship

Saint Louis University School of Medicine’s Junior Orthopaedic Fellowship Program is open to highly motivated medical school graduates interested in an orthopaedic surgery career.

A Message From the Program Director

Welcome to the Junior Orthopaedic Fellowship Program.

This fellowship offers a balanced experience, with approximately half of the year spent functioning as an orthopaedic intern and participating in all aspects of patient care. Fellows rotate through spine, trauma and pediatric orthopaedic surgery, gaining valuable exposure to a variety of subspecialties and clinical environments. The remaining time is dedicated to research, including both independent projects and collaborative work alongside faculty and residents.

Our program is built on a strong foundation of education, mentorship and academic inquiry. Fellows work closely with leading orthopaedic surgeons and have access to dedicated research staff, providing opportunities to develop both clinical and scholarly skills. We strive to create a personalized experience that supports each fellow's individual interests and professional goals.

Beyond clinical and research training, we are committed to fostering an environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, professionalism and lifelong learning. Our faculty and residents are dedicated to supporting fellows as they grow academically and personally while becoming active contributors to the field of orthopaedics.

Thank you for your interest in our program. We invite you to learn more about our program and discover the opportunities available through this exceptional training experience. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
