The Saint Louis University Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery has a history of excellence in clinical care, education and research.
SLU has one of the busiest clinical otolaryngology training programs in the country. We strive to train our residents in patient-centered care using innovative research and treatments. We maintain a sense of collegiality and aim to make the department a great place to work and learn.

On behalf of the faculty, residents, and staff of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head
and Neck Surgery at Saint Louis University, I welcome you to our website. Please

Our residency training program continues to produce excellent surgeons and researchers. Our most recent graduates are in their rhinology fellowships at Universities of Kansas and Pittsburgh. Follow the residents’ adventures (and the department) on Instagram @SLU.ENT.
The faculty, residents and students continue to publish and perform excellent research. Dr. Jennifer Brinkmeier was recently admitted Clinical Research Scholars Program offered by the Saint Louis University Center for Health Outcomes Research (SLUCOR). Scholars were chosen based on their potential for research scholarship and external funding. Additionally, she will have the opportunity to work with clinical research mentors, receive assistance developing a research agenda and timeline of activities, access to SLUCOR data resources, and access to analytic support for your work. The Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Division continues to grow with a state of the art medical spa offering surgical and non-surgical treatments and skincare consultations and services. Finally, we continue to build our new hospital and ambulatory care center on the Grand Avenue campus. We will see begin seeing patients in this beautiful new facility in September 2020.

We strive to deliver professional, courteous and quality services to all those who participate in our research trials. We follow federal guidelines for Good Clinical Practice, FDA-mandated procedures and compliance with all ethical standards for human research. We also provide private areas for all research-related consenting and confidential storage for all research materials.
The University’s Office of Research Integrity's Responsible Conduct of Research program, along with the research oversight committees, boards and offices, provides regulatory guidance and educational resources which ensure our research upholds SLU’s ethical standards and complies with all applicable local, state and federal regulations and guidelines.

The department offers a year-long audiology externship certificate program for students enrolled in an accredited doctor of audiology program.
