Interventional Radiology Residents
Meet the current residents of Saint Louis University's Interventional Radiology Residency Program.
Class of 2027

Cameron Brown, M.D.
Hometown: Chandler, Indiana
Internship: Indiana University School of Medicine, Southwest Internal Medicine Program
Medical school: Indiana University School of Medicine
Cameron Brown enjoys spending time with family, lifting weights and cooking. In the future, he plans to join a small practice focused on advancing interventional radiology in rural health care by expanding access to high-quality, minimally invasive procedures.

Vladimir Monastyrskiy, M.D.
Chief resident
Internship: General Surgery, SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital
Medical school: Saint Louis University School of Medicine
Valdimir Monastyrskiy enjoys working out, golf, pickleball and puzzles. He can solve a 3-by-3 Rubik's Cube in 28 seconds. As a St. Louis native, Monastyrskiy plans to stay in town and continue to provide the highest quality of care along the entire spectrum of IR interventions — from the bread and butter biopsies and drains to complex vascular care, hepatobiliary interventions, interventional oncology work and more!
Class of 2028

Brandon Nguyen, D.O.
Hometown: San Diego, California

Class of 2029

Nicolas Maynard, M.D.
Hometown: Conway, Arkansas
Internship: General Surgery, UC Davis Health Medical Center
Medical school: University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine
Nicolas Maynard enjoys weightlifting, swimming, running, skiing, cooking and reading. He can ride a unicycle and used to think it was a "cool" mode of transportation. (Learning is a lifelong process.) Maynard's interests are in embolization, thrombectomy and trauma interventions, but the variety of procedures and on-the-fly innovation required for their success is what drew him to IR. After residency, he hopes to refine his training in a robust academic center and ultimately return to Northern California, where he'll push his limits in patient care and skiing the Tahoe slopes.

Karan Singh, M.D.
Hometown: Niagra Falls, Ontario, Canada
Internship: University of South Alabama Internal Medicine
Medical school: Avalon University School of Medicine
Karan Singh enjoys bodybuilding, traveling, melomania and dancing. He is Canadian, and he has a background in internal medicine. Singh is thrilled about clinical VIR and intends to practice in an academic or hybrid setting with high level peripheral arterial, hepatobiliary and critical care interventions.
Class of 2030

Kendall Johnson, M.D.

Brady Tucker, M.D.
Hometown: Bloomington, Indiana
Internship: Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, University of Kentucky
Medical school: Indiana University School of Medicine
Brady Tucker enjoys running, weightlifting, golf, skiing, basketball, pickleball and hiking. He's an avid Starwars fan, has a 15 handicap in golf and owns a 4-pound weiner dog named Walle. This early in his residency, Tucker isn't sure of his future plans. However, he'll likely land somewhere in the Midwest relatively close to friends and family.
