Faculty in SSE run more than 20 research labs across disciplines, with many welcoming undergraduate students to join the team. Join a Specialized Research Program

The School of Science and Engineering administers both the Foundational Interdisciplinary Research Experience (FIRE) Program, which offers hands-on research and mentorship while earning academic credit, and the Grand Challenges Scholars program, which encourages students to explore research related to sustainability, health, joy of living and security.

Present Your Research

Your research is meant to be shared, and SSE is proud to support students in presenting their discoveries with a monetary travel award to assist students with travel costs associated with presenting at conferences, as well as an on-campus research showcase for seniors.
