My name is Michael and I have never eaten an Almond Joy. My favorite things about life include: playing piano, being outside, having convos with people and serving others! I am Catholic, and I love to learn all about the world! Also, I love to create things. My favorite way to create is through videography and photography with the occasional dabbling in songwriting!
Home Away From Home
I chose SLU because I knew it was the right college for me. The minute I stepped on campus it felt like home. I can’t describe what home feels like, but it looks a lot like SLU.
Getting to Know SLU's Resident Jesuits
SLU experience highlight: A highlight would definitely be talking to a Jesuit at Java with the Jesuits about the world and how crazy it is that everything exists the way it does.
How I Stay Connected to Other Billikens
This seems simple but the best way is just talking to people. Walking down West Pine (the main walking path in campus) you see so many familiar faces that you can take the time to say hi or stop and chat for a bit.
Favorite Things About St. Louis
There are two things that make Saint Louis stand out as a city: The first is the people here are amazingly kind and welcoming; the other is the food. Pappy’s Smokehouse is a favorite if you like BBQ.
Advice for Your College Search During COVID-19
Spend time looking at the websites of college. If the website looks organized, and appealing chances are the college will be the same.
