APM Analysts
Each year, a group of upper-level Saint Louis University finance students serves as APM analysts. These students research companies, develop investment recommendations and help manage the APM portfolio while attending SLU's Chaifetz School of Business.
Meet the 2026 APM Analysts
Adam Bauer
Hi my name is Adam Bauer and I am a finance student at Saint Louis University minoring in German studies. Through my experience in wealth management, accounting, and leadership as a former president of SLU Water Polo, I’ve developed a strong interest in financial services and helping others reach their financial goals. Outside of school and work, I spend a lot of my time playing water polo, powerlifting, watching TV and being outdoors!
Alexander Rubi
I am a senior at Saint Louis University pursuing a degree in finance and accounting. During the summer of 2026, I had the privilege of interning with Amegy Bank, a leading regional bank in Houston. This experience provided me with valuable, hands-on exposure to relationship management, portfolio analysis, business banking and other key areas of commercial banking. Outside of school and work, I enjoy cooking, especially steak, going to the gym, and spending time with friends. I am eager to expand my knowledge within finance and be able to make an impact.
Alexandria (Ally) Turner
Ally is a senior studying finance and accounting with a minor in biology. This past summer, Ally interned at The Christ Hospital Health Network in Finance and Supply Chain, where she combined her interests in healthcare and business while gaining experience in financial analysis and operations. Outside the classroom, Ally serves as captain of the SLU Cheer Team, Mental Health and Wellness chair for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and Ronald McDonald House Charities activity chair for her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. She also volunteers twice a week at Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Andrew Flight
Andrew is a senior in the Chaifetz School of Business pursuing double majors in finance and accounting. He is also a member of the Saint Louis University Men’s Swim Team, where he serves on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He has gained hands-on experience as a wealth management intern at Moneta Group and as an accounting intern at The Hill Group. Outside the classroom, Andrew enjoys golf, hiking, and travel. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in equity research or wealth management.
Carlos Rodgers-Carranza
Carlos is a senior finance major at Saint Louis University, financial planner, and former U.S. Marine Corps sergeant with multiple deployments, including combat service in Afghanistan. His wealth management experience includes building financial plans, conducting portfolio and risk analysis, developing retirement strategies, and independently sourcing clients and assets. As an Applied Portfolio Management equity analyst, he is sharpening his valuation and research skills while preparing for CFA Level I and pursuing investment banking, equity research, and eventually private equity.
David Lee
David Lee is a rising junior at Saint Louis University studying finance and accounting with concentrations in financial analysis and consulting and advisory. He is a private equity analyst Intern at KFA and an equity analyst in SLU’s Applied Portfolio Management program, where he helps manage a $3M endowment. His experience also spans equity research, wealth management, and banking, through Telluride Research, Consus Wealth Management, and JPMorgan Chase. He is especially interested in investment analysis, valuation, portfolio strategy, and building a career across public and private markets.
Declan Handy
I am a senior at Saint Louis University pursuing a double major in finance and entrepreneurship. During the summer of 2026, I began my finance co-op with Amsted Rail, where I worked closely with the finance and accounting teams and gained hands-on experience in corporate finance within the manufacturing industry. I am excited to further develop my analytical skills and broaden my understanding of finance through the APM program this semester. Following graduation, I plan to pursue a career in corporate finance.
Gavin Bohan
Gavin is a member of the SLU Honors Program, pursuing dual degrees in finance and accounting with a concentration in financial analysis and consulting and advisory. His experience includes an FP&A internship with Molex/Koch, an investment pitch internship with Venture Starters, and launching a local mulching business. He recently earned 1st place in the SLU-Equifax FP&A Case Competition. Gavin serves as president of Beta Theta Pi, where he oversees a $100,000+ annual budget, and is a member of Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. Gavin spent a semester at SLU-Madrid, using his bilingual Spanish skills while gaining a global perspective.
Isaiah Lusk
Isaiah Lusk is a senior at Saint Louis University pursuing double majors in finance and accounting with a concentration in financial analysis. Isaiah is an intern at Hathorn Advisory Group, working alongside founder Jeremiah Hathorn, a Forbes Top 200 CPA, while gaining experience in financial analysis, accounting, and strategic advisory work. He also started a snow removal service that now boasts over 60 St. Louis area customers. These real-world experiences have elevated Isaiah’s desire to pursue valuation, investments, and financial decision-making. Upon graduation, Isaiah would like to enter the workforce as an equity analyst or corporate banker, or potentially as a CPA.
John Schenk
I am a senior pursuing dual majors in accounting and finance. I have had a passion for finance from a young age, which has driven my interest in understanding markets, investing and financial decision-making. I have gained professional experience at World Wide Technology (WWT), working in both sales support and finance roles. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of business operations and further developed my interest in pursuing a career in finance and accounting.
Joseph Judd
I'm a senior at Saint Louis University, double majoring in finance and economics with a minor in business analytics. I currently serve as a wealth management intern at Moneta Group, supporting advisors with client review prep, daily transactions, and financial planning projects. For three years, I also served as head student manager for SLU Baseball, handling scouting and logistics. Post-grad, I'm weighing the CFA against the CFP depending on whether I lean toward investments or wealth management. Outside of work and school, I enjoy golfing, reading, and staying active.
Maggie Scher
My name is Maggie Scher, and I am a senior at Saint Louis University studying finance with a minor in service leadership and plan to graduate in May 2027. I have experience in both corporate finance and wealth management through internships at Equifax and MSMF Wealth Management. On campus, I serve as president of Women’s Club Volleyball and internal service chair for the Service Leadership Program, where I organize service opportunities for program members. I was also awarded the NISA Scholarship in recognition of my achievements in finance. I hope to pursue a career combining financial analysis, strategic thinking and leadership.
Michael Pugachev
I am a senior at Saint Louis University majoring in finance with a minor in business analytics. On campus, I am a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma chapter and have been involved with club hockey and the University chess team. I currently work as an equity research intern at Kennedy Capital Management, where I apply market research, financial modeling, and portfolio analysis to real investment decisions. I am excited to bring that experience into Applied Portfolio Management this year.
Nic Ellis
My name is Nic Ellis, and I am a senior studying finance and entrepreneurship. This past year I worked at an AI transformation consultancy, auditing operations for small and mid-sized businesses and building the ROI case for what to automate. I also helped build a business brokerage, where I took a middle-market printing company to a signed LOI with a private equity buyer. Outside of class, I have raised six figures for a sports card investment fund. After graduation, I plan to acquire and operate a business of my own.
Peter Hasemeier
I am a senior pursuing a finance degree at Saint Louis University. This past summer, I worked as an operations intern at NISA Investment Advisors, gaining valuable exposure to the moving parts behind an investment management firm. Throughout my time at SLU, I have also served as a student manager for the SLU Men's Soccer Team, overseeing operational work for one of the most successful programs in NCAA soccer. After graduation in December, I plan to pursue my CFA. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing soccer, running, cycling and reading.
Rushit Patel
I am a senior pursuing dual major in finance and entrepreneurship. I spent this past summer interning at Hunter Engineering as a business development intern supporting the 400+ member sales team by building strategy and AI tools. I also have previous experience in M&A (Midwest Legacy Capital Group), equity research (Kennedy Capital), and real estate (1904 Management). After graduation I plan to pursue roles in tech sales as I look to build my skillset in sales in order to help me with my entrepreneurial aspiration of acquiring businesses to scale them before exiting.
Taeseong (Bella) Kim
Bella is an honors student pursuing a triple major in finance, economics and international business with a minor in service leadership. She has served as an undergraduate research assistant for Pricing Strategies, a project consultant with Mastercard in Dubai, a Global Market Intern at Ubeeslab in Seoul, and she is a CFA Level I candidate. She currently serves as president of the International Business Club and Social Change Chair of the Service Leadership Program, and is a brother of Delta Sigma Pi. Bella is interested in cross-border M&A and global capital markets.
