With a limited number of spots available each year, only the top finance students in the Chaifetz School are admitted into the Applied Portfolio Management (APM) program. These students learn the latest investment strategies directly from top area finance professionals, giving them an advantage in the job market post-graduation.
Meet the 2022 APM Analysts
Samad Arif
St. Louis, MO
Samad is pursuing a double major in Finance and Accounting with a concentration in Financial Analysis and a minor in Actuarial Mathematics. In the summer of 2022, Samad interned at NISA Investment Advisors as a Data Analyst and will be joining the company full-time as a Portfolio Management Analyst. He also has experience within private equity, wealth management, and law. Samad is the president of SLU’s Finance Club and a member of SLU’s chess club and Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society.

Christian Bauer
Clayton, MO
Christian is pursuing a degree in Finance with a minor in International Business. In the summer of 2022, Christian interned at Protiviti, a global management consulting firm. After graduation, he will be returning to Protiviti in the New York City office as a Business Performance Improvement Consultant in the Finance & Performance Management practice. Outside of APM, Christian is a member of the professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi.

Dylan Erwin

Dylan is pursuing a degree in Finance with a Financial Analysis concentration. Over the summer of 2022, he interned at Hussmann Corporation as a Financial Analyst Intern. After graduation in December 2022, he will be joining the company as a Financial Analyst and pursuing a CFA certification. Outside of APM, Dylan is an active member of the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society, and he is a running and tennis enthusiast.

Rosanne Gerami

Rosanne is pursuing a degree in Finance and Economics with a minor in Political Science. During the summer of 2022, she interned at PIMCO at their headquarters in Newport Beach, California as an Account Analyst. Outside of APM, Rosanne is the Vice President of Finance for the Kappa Delta sorority on campus. She is also currently working at TWA, an organization that helps previously incarcerated individuals find jobs. Upon graduation, she will be joining PIMCO’s Global Wealth Management team in New York.

Brian Golinski

Brian is pursuing a double major in Finance & Data Analytics at the Chaifetz School of Business where he will graduate in May of 2023. Over the summer of 2022, Brian was a Summer Scholar at Deloitte Consulting. Prior to this, Brian interned within the Private Wealth Management field where he honed his understanding and passion for capital markets. Outside of APM, Brian is an MLK Scholar on campus and an avid fan of New York sports, particularly the Rangers and Knicks.

Patrick Gosser

Patrick is a senior pursuing a degree in Finance with a concentration in Financial Analysis. During the summer of 2022, Patrick worked with Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Representative Intern. He is currently exploring opportunities in Finance and Financial Analysis following graduation in the Spring of 2023. Outside of APM, Patrick is an active member of the Edmund Campion Society and enjoys running and fishing in his spare time.

Brice Handel
Ellicott City, MD
Brice is pursuing dual majors in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He is currently an Intern at Lewis & Clark Ventures working to source and assess investment prospects. Previously, he worked as the Member Acquisition Manager at Tap, a B2C SaaS startup. His work at Tap focused on driving member acquisition through the development, execution, and analysis of marketing and pricing strategies. Upon graduation, he is looking to find a position in venture capital or corporate finance that leverages his experience working with early-stage companies.

Matt Herguth

Matt is pursuing a Finance major with minors in BTM and Service Leadership. Over the summer of 2022, Matt interned as an accountant for Tech Electronics in St. Louis, MO. After graduation in May 2023, he intends to find an equity analyst role, preferably back home in Chicago. In addition to APM, Matt is involved with Greek Life, Club Basketball, and Billiken Capital, an investment club on campus.
Annie Hillhouse
Atlanta, GA
Annie is pursuing a double major in Accounting and Finance. Over the summer of 2022, she interned at PwC in External Audit. Upon graduation, she will pursue her CPA license as an External Audit Associate at PwC in Chicago, Illinois. On campus, Annie has also served as a First-Year Experience Oriflamme Leader, an Accounting Executive Leadership Team for Relay for Life, a Social Chair for Delta Gamma, a Recruitment Counselor for the SLU Panhellenic council, and an executive board member of the Finance Club.

Vrisha Jagdish

Vrisha is pursuing a major in finance with a minor in mathematics. Over the summer of 2022, Vrisha worked at Magnetar Capital as a fixed income and alternative credit intern. Following graduation, Vrisha will spend the summer working as an investment banking analyst at Stifel in the firm's Baltimore office. Outside of her academics, Vrisha is president of Alpha Kappa Psi and she’s a music director for SLU’s award winning South Asian fusion a cappella team.

Robby Kevlishvili

Robby is pursuing degrees in Finance and Mathematics. Upon graduation in May 2023, he is planning to pursue an M.S. degree in Finance, with the eventual goal of obtaining the CFA certification. Before committing to SLU, Robby was a professional chess player. He became a multiple-time Dutch youth champion, as well as becoming a World Youth Champion. Outside of APM, Robby is a Chess Grandmaster and part of the SLU Chess Team, who became the 2022 National- and Pan-American collegiate champions.

Mason is pursuing a degree in Finance. He is currently working at JAG Capital Management where he was a buy-side Capital Markets Analyst Intern before working as a Portfolio Management Operations Intern. Mason has also held several other roles in B2B and B2C companies in the finance, fintech, marketing, and real estate industries. Mason is the President of both SLU's Chess Club and Ultimate Frisbee Club and is an active member of several other organizations.

Stephen is pursuing a degree in Finance with a minor in Political Science. Over the summer of 2022, Stephen interned with Ameren Corporation as an Internal Audit Intern. After completing his degree in the spring of 2023, Stephen is open to careers in product development, operations, marketing, and consulting. Josh is currently pursuing a degree in Finance and is preparing for the CFA certification. During the summer of 2022, Josh interned with Edward Jones as a Taxable Fixed Income Trader. After graduation, Josh hopes to join the firm as a Wealth Management and Solutions Rotational Development Program Associate. Josh has also been involved in SLU’s Student Government Association, was a First Year Experience Oriflamme Leader, works as the Business School Dean’s Student Administrative Assistant, is a Business School Ambassador, and is his fraternity’s treasurer.

Stephen is pursuing a degree in Finance with minors in Economics and Service Leadership. Over the summer of 2022, Stephen interned with Maryville Consulting Group. After graduation in Spring 2023, he will join the company as a Technology Business Management Consultant. Stephen captains SLU's Club Ultimate Frisbee team, serves as Co-chair for the Service Leadership Program, is involved with Labre's ministry with the homeless, and is an Ambassador of the Chaifetz School of Business to prospective students and parents.

Outside of his coursework, Ryan volunteers for community outreach organizations such as the KEEN Institute of St. Louis, LifeWiseSTL, Food Outreach, and the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank. Over the summer, he interned with Great Southern Bank. After graduation in Spring 2023, he intends to leverage his experience and education to find a career in quantitative financial analysis or consulting.
