Graduation Ceremonies Information

December Law Graduates Reception

Wednesday, December 18, 2019, 5:30 p.m.
Scott Hall - 12th Floor

Graduates will receive an email to RSVP for the reception. Business attire; no academic regalia.

University Mid-Year Commencement

Friday, December 13, 2019, Time TBD.
Chaifetz Arena, 1 S. Compton Avenue, St. Louis, MO

All students must RSVP for the University Mid-Year Commencement. RSVP information is forthcoming.

All graduates should arrive at Chaifetz Arena no later than an hour before the ceremony. Graduates MUST robe at Chaifetz Arena. The commencement ceremony lasts approximately an hour and a half.

No tickets are required for the ceremony or reception but students must RSVP.

May Hooding Ceremony

Thursday, May 14, 2020, Time TBD.
Chaifetz Arena, 1 S. Compton Avenue, St. Louis, MO
The Hooding Ceremony is approximately 1½ hours long.

Graduates must enter on the west side of Chaifetz Arena no later than an hour before the ceremony. No family or friends are allowed in the student assembly area. 

Family, friends and guests must enter on the main level, at any entrance on the north and east sides of the arena. Doors open 30 minutes before the ceremony.

There is no limit to the number of guests who can attend the graduation events. No tickets are required to enter.

Photographs

At the Hooding Ceremony, Kabance Photo Services will photograph each student as he/she is hooded and when shaking hands with the dean. Students will be contacted directly by the photographer via mail and email with ordering information. Note: Graduates and family will not be allowed on stage after the ceremony to take pictures.

University Commencement

Saturday, May 16, 2020, 9 a.m.
Chaifetz Arena, 1 S. Compton Avenue, St. Louis, MO

Graduates must enter the northwest entrance by the ticket box no later than 8 a.m. Please bring your academic regalia; you will robe once inside the assembly area.

Tickets are not required for the University Commencement. There is no limit on the number of guests; seating is first-come, first-serve.

Parking

Free parking for both ceremonies will be available throughout campus, including the Olive Compton garage. View parking options

Disabled Parking is available in either the Olive Compton Garage or the Laclede Garage. There is a drop-off area in front of Chaifetz Arena. Wheelchairs are available to take guests to their seats, but guests will not be able to keep the wheelchairs during the ceremony.
