Gifts to the Law Library

To donate a book or other gift-in-kind to the Law Library, please contact Matthew Braun,
director of the Law Library, at matthew.braun.1@slu.edu or 314-977-3449.

In some instances, the Law Library may choose not to accept a gift. Among the reasons are the age and condition of the gift, whether the gift is commensurate with the library’s collection policy and goals, and other matters at the discretion of the library. If the gift does not meet the library’s needs, an effort will be made to refer the donor to other potential recipients.

The Law Library will issue a letter acknowledging the quantity and type of materials donated.

Any gift-in-kind will become the property of the Law Library, and donors should be aware that the final disposition of the gift is at the library's discretion.
