Application Process

The Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship program at Saint Louis University exclusively uses the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).


Applications for the Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship, beginning July 1, 2021, are currently being accepted in the ERAS system. All applications must be submitted through ERAS.

Applications will be reviewed once they include the following minimum requirements:

  • ERAS Application
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Letter of recommendation from the residency Program Director
  • At least 2 additional letters of recommendation
  • Medical school transcripts
  • MSPE (if applicable)
  • USMLE transcripts
  • Personal statement
  • ECFMG Status Report (if applicable)

If any of the items listed above are missing, the application will not be considered. Applicants that are invited for an interview will be asked to provide a photograph. Applications for our program close on August 12, 2020 at 11:59 pm CST. Any applications received after this time will not be considered.

Virtual Interviews for 2020

Interview invitations are expected to be sent to candidates through the ERAS system the week of August 19.

Interviews will be held virtually on the following dates:

  • 8/27/2020
  • 9/10/2020
  • 9/24/2020

The interview day starts around 8:00 a.m. and lasts until approximately 1:00 p.m. A formal agenda will be provided. Our program's administrative offices are located on the 3rd floor of the West Pavilion (3655 Vista Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110).

The Hematology and Oncology fellowship program at Saint Louis University participates in the National Residency Matching Process. Final selection of candidates who interview at Saint Louis University is made following the interview process with entry to the match scheduled in November. The NRMP has Match Day scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, 2020.
