School of Medicine Celebrates the Graduating Class of 2026

School of Medicine students celebrated commencement in true Saint Louis University fashion: by embracing their calling with purpose and passion. Whether they walked the stage as newly minted physicians or advanced scientific researchers, the Class of 2026 has proven their academic excellence, vision and drive to make the world a better place.

Match Day Success

The results of this year's National Residency Match Program were met with big smiles and deep Billiken pride. On March 20, an impressive 98.3% of the class received a residency match. Highlighting SLU SOM's regional impact, 30% will practice in Missouri, with 15% joining SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine residency programs. The pivotal day was a rite of passage, signifying the transition from medical student to residency physician.

More than 200 students earned graduate degrees from the School of Medicine. These leaders will go forward with a strong sense of purpose, having received training that blends academic excellence with a commitment to improving community health.
