A Message From the Program Director
Welcome to the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Fellowship Program.
Through our comprehensive training, fellows can elevate their skills and establish themselves as experts in the field. They gain exposure to a wide range of complex conditions and services, including:
- Stem cell transplants
- Neuro-oncology
- Bleeding and clotting disorders
- Inherited blood disorders
- Bone and soft tissue cancers
- Blood component donation and treatment
- Long-term care for cancer survivors
The program supports fellows interested in all types of research, and it offers both mentorship and teaching opportunities. It also emphasizes wellness, work-life balance and career development.

Program Overview
The three-year Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited pediatric hematology and oncology fellowship provides hands-on experiences and exposure to a wide range of complex and rare conditions. Fellows engage in structured learning sessions and academic conferences, and they teach both medical students and residents. They also have dedicated time for mentored research.
Fellows rotate at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
