Breast Imaging Fellowship

The Saint Louis University Breast Imaging Center is an American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (ACR BICOE) and our center is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).

About our Program 

The 12-month breast imaging fellowship includes dedicated training in digital mammography, tomosynthesis, breast and axillary ultrasound, breast MRI and image-guided breast procedures. Our fellows will become proficient in performing a wide range of percutaneous interventional procedures and have access to research opportunities at our academic institution. Fellows will experience a multi-disciplinary approach to breast imaging and patient care, spending time with our fellowship-trained breast surgeon and breast pathologist.

Saint Louis University participates in the Breast Imaging Fellowship Match Program sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program. Interested candidates should use the universal application found on the Society of Breast Imaging website.  

Applicants for this position should be graduated from an ACGME-accredited diagnostic radiology program and should be board-eligible or already certified by the American Board of Radiology.

Our Mission

We are passionate about women’s health. The mission of our fellowship program in breast imaging is to provide our fellows with high-quality education and clinical training in all aspects of breast imaging. Our goals are the development of proficient skills in mammography, ultrasound, and breast MRI interpretation and intervention in a supervised academic environment, with opportunities for teaching and research.
