First Responders Rate
Qualifying first responders can take advantage of a reduced tuition rate of $295 per credit hour.
The rate is offered to new and current undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor's degree or certificate from the School for Professional Studies who are active first responders serving the public good.
The term "first responder" refers to individuals who in the early stages of an incident are responsible for the protection and preservation of life, property, evidence and the environment. This includes members of law enforcement, firefighters and emergency medical personnel. First responders can serve on a volunteer, part-time or full-time basis to be considered for reduced tuition.
To receive the discounted tuition rate, you must verify your active status as a first responder by providing a current ID or credential designating your position and a letter of confirmation from an employer or qualified agency. Please send documentation to your academic coach for processing.
When first responder status is granted, it will apply for the remainder of the academic year. Supporting documentation for verification must be provided at the start of each academic year thereafter.
