Explore Helpful Financial Aid Resources
Most students complete their degree with financial help along the way. Here, we’ve outlined some of the most common ways students save and finance their tuition.
We offer a breadth of scholarships specifically for adult online students—including new students, current students and students enrolled within specific programs. Learn more about what’s available and how to apply.
Many students apply for financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We recommend applying early for maximum consideration.
We’ve partnered with more than 120 corporations nationwide, including organizations like BJC Healthcare, SSM Health and Boeing.
If your employer is one of our partners (either through EdAssist or direct partnerships), and you enroll in a fully online bachelor’s or master’s degree program within SLU’s SPS, you may be eligible for a 15% discount on your tuition.
We offer special payment arrangements for students whose employers reimburse tuition costs after course completion.
You must submit documentation indicating your employer’s reimbursement policy and how much you’re eligible for prior to the beginning of each semester that the deferred payment option is used. Tuition or fees not paid by the employer are due on the regular payment due dates.
Deferred Payment Dates 2022-2023
- Summer 2022: Sept. 9, 2022
- Fall 1, 2022: Dec. 5, 2022
- Fall 2, 2022: Feb. 6, 2023
- Spring 1, 2023: May 1, 2023
- Spring 2, 2023: July 3, 2023
Under this option, you are responsible for the full tuition amount, whether or not the reimbursement is received. Additionally, a 1 percent per month finance charge will be assessed on open balances after the deferred payment due date. Payment must be received prior to the deferred deadline to ensure continued eligibility for deferment and prevent late fees and holds on future registration.
To assist with the process, SPS provides a tuition deferment form to fill out and submit. Direct questions or submit the completed form to Carolyn Merkel at 314-977-2405 or carolyn.merkel@slu.edu.
