Urologic Surgery Residency
The SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine Urologic Surgery Residency Program offers extensive training in clinical urology with an emphasis on subspecialty skills, hands-on experience and mentorship.
A Message From the Program Director
Welcome to the Urologic Surgery Integrated Residency Program. Our program aligns with the School of Medicine’s commitment to excellence in education, research and holistic, community-focused care. We train residents to be surgical experts and compassionate healers; trainees acquire an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, pathology, physiology and surgical training, but their overall mission is to provide the best care to their patients.
Our goal is to give residents the skills to be lifelong learners. We cultivate a supportive environment that promotes both mentorship and teamwork between residents and attending surgeons. Residents attend a full schedule of didactic sessions, and they’re given increased clinical and surgical responsibility as they progress. There are also opportunities for advanced training in major urologic subspecialties.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
