Visiting MOCRA

Hours and Admission

MOCRA is closed to the public until further notice. All previously scheduled public programs are canceled or postponed.

We will post updates on our social media accounts. We are also working on new online content and fresh ways of engaging with MOCRA during this time when we can't welcome you here in person. You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

Mindful of the many and varied impacts of the pandemic on people’s lives and livelihoods—some immediate, some that will only gradually become apparent—we at MOCRA wish everyone safety and good health during this time of uncertainty. For many of MOCRA’s patrons, art, religion, and spirituality in their manifold expressions are a source of comfort, strength, and inspiration. May they be so now and in the future.

Admission to MOCRA exhibitions is free. We gladly accept donations, with a suggested offering of $5 for adults and $1 for students and children.

Directions and Parking

MOCRA is located in Fusz Memorial Hall at 3700 West Pine Boulevard on the Saint Louis University campus. Please note that West Pine Boulevard is closed off to vehicular traffic at this address.  Follow the signs to MOCRA, which has its own entrance (look for the spire on the corner of the building).

Driving and Parking

GPS and other devices can get confused trying to reach MOCRA, since we are located on Saint Louis University's campus. We recommend that you enter an address of 3700 Laclede Avenue, which will bring you closest to the museum building.

MOCRA has four designated visitor spaces behind the building, along with two spaces reserved for handicapped parking. Metered on-street parking and a University parking garage are also nearby.

SLU's campus is bike friendly. You'll find bike racks right alongside Fusz Memorial Hall, where MOCRA is located.

There is one flight of steps from MOCRA's lobby into the gallery; a motorized lift is available for people in wheelchairs or who have difficulty managing steps. The main gallery is wheelchair accessible. There is an additional flight of steps up to the balcony gallery which is not wheelchair accessible at this time.

Two parking spaces designated for handicapped parking are located behind MOCRA.

Group and Class Visits

MOCRA welcomes group visits to the museum. There is no charge for group visits and tours, but we do ask that you contact MOCRA at least two weeks in advance, or as soon as possible, to avoid scheduling conflicts and to ensure that staff members are available for your visit.

Please call 314-977-7170 or email us with your group visit request.

Class Visits

We are especially happy to welcome students and teachers at all grade levels. Our staff members can work with you to tailor a visit to your syllabus, including presentations from the staff that connect the art with your subject matter. We can also schedule visits outside of our regular public hours to accommodate your needs.

If possible, please contact MOCRA at least two weeks in advance to avoid scheduling conflicts and to ensure that staff members are available for your visit. However, don't hesitate to contact us on short notice. We'll do our best to work with your schedule.
