As a national thought leader, the Chaifetz School's Boeing Institute of International Business brings together business leaders, government officials, academics and students throughout the year to discuss the most important issues in international business today. These annual events include the International Business Awards Ceremony, the Bayer International Business Conference and the Boeing Distinguished Guest Lecture in International Business. The Boeing Institute also regularly supports other special events that bring attention to current trends and topics in global business.

Bayer International Business Conference
In December of each year, we sponsor an international business conference that features critical, timely topics and well-known speakers. The event attracts more than 300 attendees each year from global companies, government, civic organizations, academia and the public-at-large.

Boeing Distinguished Guest Lecture
The Boeing Distinguished Guest Lecture is occurs each spring semester and brings a prominent speaker to the Chaifetz School to share insights on a current international business with the SLU and greater St. Louis community. The 2019 Distinguished Guest Lecture featured Dr. László Szabó, Hungarian Ambassador to the United States.

Atlas Week 2019: Korean Eine Flute Ensemble
The Atlas Program launched in Spring of 2001 as a way to recognize the international dimension of Saint Louis University's academic programs and to celebrate SLU's role in international education and service. The primary goal of the Atlas Program is to increase awareness of the global issues that confront us today in an effort not only to promote discussion, but to inspire and inform action. The Boeing Institute is pleased and honored to participate each year.
The Boeing Institute was honored to host the Korean Eine Flute Ensemble in Spring 2019 for a performance highlighting the beauty of Korean music.
Asian Business Summit
In Spring 2019, the Boeing Institute was honored to co-sponsor the inaugural Asian Business Summit hosted by the Asian American Chamber of Commerce St. Louis. The event included a panel discussion with the speakers and breakout sessions by country to address specific trade and investment opportunities. The following consulates represented their country at the program: Xiaoming Zou (Commercial Consulate of China), Laxmi Prasad Gupta (Commercial Consul of India), Naoki Ito (Consulate-General of Japan) and Javed Ahmed Umrani (Consul General of Pakistan).
The Future of Korea Forum
In Spring 2019, the Boeing Institute hosted speakers from the Korea Economic Institute, the Korean Embassy and the U.S. Department of State for The Future of Korea Forum. The event served as an open forum to discuss current global issues surrounding the Korean Peninsula. Speakers included Jihyun Lee (First Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea), Timothy Johnson (Foreign Service Officer, United States Department of State), and Mark Tokola (Vice President, Korea Economic Institute of America).
