Kyle Clinkingbeard, LCSW

Coordinator, Student Athlete and DBT Services

Kyle Clinkingbeard is a licensed clinical social worker who received his B.A. and M.S.W degrees in social work from Saint Louis University. While an undergraduate student, Kyle was also a sprinter with SLU's track and field team.

Before coming to the University Counseling Center, Kyle Clinkingbeard provided therapy at a residential and outpatient substance abuse facility, and then transitioned to providing therapeutic services at a forensic psychiatric hospital. He has advanced training to work with individuals struggling with substance use, self-harm, mood disorders, psychiatric symptoms and anxiety/depression. Kyle specializes in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and has experience using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). He believes in the dialectics of life: completely accepting us for who we are, while also asking ourselves to change.
