Jamell Jacobs is a licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor. She received her B.S. in elementary education from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville and her M.Ed. in professional counseling from University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Jamell Jacobs views her role as a therapist as being a supportive partner in her clients' journey to become their best self, which is a daily process. She has experience helping individuals and families struggling with anxiety, anger management, depression, grief and loss, low self-esteem, occupational stress, parenting, communication and relationship issues, trauma and addiction recovery. She uses a holistic approach focusing on developing a healthy mind, body, and spirit, using primarily cognitive-behavioral therapeutic techniques.
