Kayla Boss

Kayla Boss is a licensed clinical social worker who received her B.A. in psychology from Columbia College and Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Her approach is drawn from a relational and equity-centered framework, recognizing that healing is most effective when rooted in trust, connection, empathy and recognizing that everyone has unique needs.

Kayla has experience working with individuals and families struggling with the effects of traumatic experiences, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, sexual assault or abuse, and relationship issues. Kayla specializes in trauma-informed care, drawing on several modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness approaches. Kayla has worked in several settings including K-12 schools, residential treatment, and private practice. Kayla’s work is guided by an integrative lens that recognizes the impact of systems, environment, and identity on mental health and strives to create a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, heard and empowered.

Kayla is also passionate about restorative practices and holistic wellness, incorporating mindfulness, yoga, somatic awareness, and psychoeducation to support clients in building insight into the healing tools that already exist within them. Outside of therapy, she enjoys practicing yoga herself, being in nature and reading
