Melissa Douglass is a licensed clinical social worker and board-certified telemental-health provider at Saint Louis University. She received her B.A. and M.A. in Social Work from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and has 10+ years of diverse experience including community-based, hospital, non-profit and collegiate settings.
Melissa's specialties center around treating anxiety and trauma and she is also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR).
Prior to SLU, she served six years as the clinical director of Goal Driven Counseling and remains the owner of this multi-state virtual counseling group. Her work and passion meet at the intersection of modern tech utilization and trauma-informed strategies as she enjoys training and facilitating wellness approaches through a person-centered lens. Melissa enjoys time with her family, nature, exercise and the sound of moving water.
