New Faculty Information
Welcome to the Saint Louis University School of Medicine!
We'd like to offer some brief introductory information as you begin your academic career shaping the future of medicine here at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
The Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development (OFAPD) is your primary academic faculty resource at the SLU School of Medicine. Contact us if you cannot locate an answer to your questions within this and other OFAPD webpages.
Email Communications
New faculty receive emails from the OFAPD that seek to welcome, orient and offer pertinent resources and events. Watch for these throughout the first year.
Orientation
Each year, new full-time faculty will be invited to attend an orientation held in early to mid-August at the Busch Student Center. Activities will begin in the morning with breakfast followed by a program from University administration and faculty leaders.
Immediately following orientation, faculty are strongly encouraged to attend a welcome reception hosted by SLU's president.
Watch for an email from the Office of Faculty Affairs with orientation details. For registration links, visit their webpage.
