Current Fellows

Sierra Dickey, D.O.
Residency: SSM Health/SLU SOM Residency Program
Medical school: A.T. Still University of Health Sciences
Sierra Dickey is a southern Missouri native who has enjoyed living in St. Louis the past three years. She had her first cardiology experience as a third-year medical student and loved it so much, she rotated through it three more times before graduating! Cardiology has been her passion ever since, and she currently has an interest in interventional cardiology.
On a non-academic note, having grown up on a farm in rural Missouri, Dickey has a soft spot for animals. She and her husband have two small dogs (Bunsen and Burner — yes, you read that correctly!) and two cats they adore.
Dickey enjoys reading fiction, going to the park with her dogs, and finding a great coffee shop or espresso martini.

Chaitanya Rojulpote, M.D.
Residency: The Wright Center for GME
Medical school: Jawaharlal Nehru Medical School
Chaitanya Rojulpote was born in Vizag, India, and grew up in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. After completing medical school, he pursued clinical research at the University of Pennsylvania where he conducted work in the field of nuclear cardiology, leveraging PET/CT and PET/MR to study atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and cardiac sarcoidosis.
Rojulpote also has a passion for disaster medicine, and in recent years, he's been able to participate in medical relief efforts to disaster-stricken areas such as the war in Ukraine and the earthquake in Turkey.
Rojulpote loves biryani. When he visited Saint Louis University for an in-person tour, he had some amazing biryani at a local restaurant of which he can no longer remember the name. So, during his fellowship, he plans to make his way through every biryani establishment in St. Louis to find that restaurant again.

Rabya Saraf, M.D.
Residency: Roger Williams Medical Center/Boston University
Medical school: St. George's University School of Medicine
After graduating from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusettes with a biology degree, Rabya Saraf dedicated two years to clinical and bench research in Boston. Her research was mostly focued on diabetes-associated cardiovascular disease, and the use of transesophageal echocardiography during cardiac surgery. Saraf then went on to earn a medical degree and complete her internal medicine residency training in Providenc, Rhode Island. Fellowship brought to the Midwest, and she is interested in non-invasive cardiology and electrophysiology.
Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors, running, cooking, reading and trying new restaurants.

Sanskriti Shrivastava, M.D.
Residency: The Wright Center for GME
Medical school: Kasturba Medical College
Sanskriti Shrivastava was born and raised in Bhopal, India - a beautiful city with many lakes. She went to medical school in coastal south India and moved to the U.S. as a cardiac failure and transplant research fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. There, she discovered an unwavering love for cardiology, and she eventually spent three years in Scranton, Pennsylvania, for her internal medicine residency. She is interested in both general and interventional cardiology.
Outside of work, Shrivastava enjoys spending time with friends, cooking, reading and driving to new places by herself while listening to music.

Rohil Bedi, M.D.
Residency: SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine
Medical school: Saint Louis University School of Medicine
Rohil Bedi was born in India and moved around a lot growing up. He even spent some time in West Virginia before returning to India and finishing high school in New Delhi. He subsequently moved to St. Louis for his undergraduate studies and has called the city home since 2013 — the longest he's lived anywhere!
Bedi is interested in interventional and structural cardiology. In his free time, he enjoys lifting weights (or talking about how he needs to), spending time with his family and significant other, watching mystery movies and learning about investing and personal finance. He is also an avid, albeit slightly depressed and constantly disappointed Manchester United fan, yet this does not keep him from believing next season will be our season!

Lolita Golemi, M.D.
Residency: SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine
Medical school: Rush University School of Medicine
Lolita Golemi is originally from Albania. She moved to Chicago, Illinois, during high school, which is also when she decided she wanted to become a cardiologist. She is passionate about all aspects of cardiology, but she's particularly interested in cardiac imagine and advanced heart failure.
Golemi enjoys family time, running, cooking and checking out new coffee shops around the city.

Michael "Mike" Khorsandi, M.D.
Residency: George Washington University at Luminis Health AAMC
Medical school: Windsor University School of Medicine
Upon completing his residency training, Michael Khorsandi pursued his passion for cardiology by joining the Preventative Cardiology Fellowship Program at Johns Hopkins University. There, he played a pivotal role in leading the busy Cardiometabolic Clinic. He fellowship provided him with Level 2 training in coronary CTA imaging, a comprehensive curriculum in preventative cardiology, and extensive research exposure — particularly in the management and risk assessment of atherosclerotic vascular disease. Khorsandi aspires to bridge preventative cardiology with interventional cardiology, carving out a unique niche that is scarcely represented.
Outside of work, Khorsandi enjoys football.

Abdullah Yeşilyaprak, M.D.
Residency: Wayne State University School of Medicine
Medical school: Istanbul University
Abdullah Yeşilyaprak is originally from Turkey. His medical journey began at Istanbul University, a place where his profound interest in cardiology blossomed. That passion led him to the United States, where he had the privilege of working as a clinical research fellow at the Cleveland Clinic. Following that enriching experience, Yeşilyaprak completed residency training at Wayne State University in Michigan, where he had the honor of serving as chief resident in his final year. He feels fortunate to be at SLU SOM, an opportunity he embrases with immense gratitude and enthusiasm.

He loves travling, catching up with friends and family, working out, golfing, watching movies and trying new food.
Sharma's journey in medicine has been rewarding and eventually led him back to St. Louis for residency training. He's wanted to become a cardiologist since his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University. It's a field that excites him, as it's fast-moving, diverse and centered on helping people when they need it most. Sharma is interested in academic cardiology, cardiac intensive care and clinical education.
