Fall 2020 Office Staffing

In an effort to be available to our students while keeping a minimal number of staff in the building, the School of Law administration has coordinated office staffing accordingly.

The Office of the Dean

The Office of the Dean will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with limited staff.

The Office of Admissions

Starting Monday, August 24*

Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - Noon
Wednesday 8:30 a.m.- Noon
Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.

The Office of Student Services

The Student Services Suite (Room 1008) will remain open during the Fall 2020 semester with limited in-person staff from 8:30 am-5 pm (or other times as specified) Monday through Friday. The specific days individual personnel will be in-person in the Student Services suite is listed below and posted on our door. During regular business hours when individuals are not in-person, they will be available remotely. Students needing anything outside of regular business hours should contact individual suite members by email to make needed arrangements.

Although the Student Services suite will maintain its open door policy and some personnel will be in-person during designated times, all individual and group meetings should be held remotely if possible. If an in-person meeting is necessary, social distancing, mask, and other guidelines must be followed.

Office of Inclusion and Diversity Education

Professor Belinda Dantley, director of the office of inclusion and diversity education, will be working remotely for the fall semester. She is available via email (belinda.dantley@slu.edu) and Zoom appointments.

Academic Resource Center

The Academic Resource Center (ARC) has shifted to a virtual platform to support SLU LAW students’ academic and bar exam preparation needs for the Fall 2020 semester. Please visit the ARC’s Blackboard page to access online supplements, Zoom office hours for ARC faculty and Faculty Fellows, and academic support and bar examination preparation guidance (MySLU > Tools > Blackboard Learn > My Organizations > Academic Resource Center).

The ARC (Room 1082) remains open for students to stop by and look at hard copies of study aids, and updated check-out procedures are posted in the ARC.

Prof. Miceli and Prof. Benigno have regular Zoom office hours (see below) available during the semester, are available by appointment, and are available by email on weekdays. They will respond to emails within 24 to 48 hours. For urgent matters, please note “Urgent” in your subject line.

Office of Communications

While some projects may occasionally bring them to campus, the entire Office of Communications will be working remotely for the fall semester. If you are a member of the law school community looking for assistance with a project or event, please book an appointment time with the team. If a consultation is not needed, please submit a design or announcement request to move forward with your project.

Associate Director Amy Sanders will occasionally be in Scott Hall, but can be easily reached via email or through zoom appointments.
