Orientation Dates and Preview

Orientation will take place Monday, Aug. 12, through Thursday, Aug. 15.

We will have many events throughout the year where family and friends are welcome to attend; however, orientation events are designed for law students only.

Summer Reading

Tattoos on the HeartEach year as part of Orientation, SLU LAW hosts a Community & Mission Workshop. As part of this workshop, we ask you to read a book before Orientation so that we may share a community-building experience with you as you begin your law school education. This book will serve as a foundation for a lively discussion on issues of diversity, inclusion, intercultural competence in the legal profession, and our Jesuit mission.

This year's book selection is Tattoos on the Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion by Gregory Boyle, S.J.

Please read Tattoos on the Heart by Wednesday, August 14, which is the date of the Community & Mission Workshop. You will receive more information on Orientation in the coming weeks.
