Joyce Brown passed away on Friday, Nov. 7, after bravely facing a serving as the program coordinator in the Office of Student Services in the Saint Louis University School of Law for more than 14 years, greeting a countless number of students and visitors who came to the office with a smile.
Conversion Therapy Laws Dataset Tracks 12 Years of U.S. State Policy
A new dataset published Oct. 29 by Saint Louis University School of Law researchers, in partnership with colleagues from Pacific University School of Social Work and Wayne State University College of Education and support from the Center for Public Health Law Research (CPHLR) at Temple University Beasley School of Law and the Movement Advancement Project (MAP) collects, analyzes and shares 12 years of state laws governing conversion therapy.
Annual Childress Lecture Addresses Immigration and the Supreme Court
On October 10, 2025, Saint Louis University School of Law and the Saint Louis University Law Journal hosted the annual Richard J. Childress Lecture at Scott Hall. This year’s lecture, with a keynote by Professor Kevin Johnson of University of California Davis School of Law, focused on immigration and the United States Supreme Court during the second Trump administration.
