The SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Program provides comprehensive training in the advanced endoscopic evaluation and management of complex pancreaticobiliary and gastrointestinal conditions.
A Message From the Program Director
Welcome to the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Program.
This program is designed to provide comprehensive training in the evaluation and management of conditions pertinent to the practice of advanced endoscopy.
At our high-volume tertiary center, the advanced endoscopy fellow will receive extensive training, utilizing cutting-edge equipment in our newly built endoscopy unit. This includes a wide range of advanced endoscopic techniques such as simple and complex ERCP, diagnostic and therapeutic EUS, advanced endoscopic resection, enteral stenting, endoscopic closure therapy, and more.
The program aims to develop highly skilled endoscopists through hands-on training under the mentorship of our experienced faculty. Fellows can also participate in multidisciplinary conferences and engage in clinical research.

Program Overview
The one-year advanced endoscopy fellowship offers flexible, comprehensive training that advances technical endoscopic skills and emphasizes gaining cognitive and integrative competencies. Fellows engage and manage cases in coordination with a range of specialists, including surgical and medical oncologists, transplant surgeons, expert GI pathologists, radiologists and interventional radiologists. They are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their field and meet evolving needs in advanced endoscopy.

The fellowship program has one available position per year. Applications are accepted throughout July, and interviews are held from late August to October.
This is a non-ACGME-accredited postgraduate training program that participates in the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Match. Applications are submitted through ASGE. Visa sponsorship is not available.
