Course Reserves

Course Reserve service allows instructors to set aside, on a library reserve shelf, books and articles for class use, or to make articles or book excerpts available in electronic format.

Reserve materials are removed from the collection at the end of each quarter and returned to the instructor or the library collection. If you would like to put some materials on reserve, please complete the corresponding form:

Traditional course reserve form

Traditional Reserve Materials correspond to either print materials (books, journals) or audiovisuals in library collection or photocopied material. Such materials are available to students upon request at the Circulation Desk and are kept on the "Madrid Reserve Cabinet" until the end of the academic term. They can be made available for use in the library only or for loan periods of one, two or up to seven days, according to the course instructor's request.

Electronic reserve form

Faculty may also ask library staff to create an Electronic Reserve Page for them on which certain types of materials (e.g. articles from journals, chapters from books, and links to websites) will be kept in electronic format.
