Legacy Billikens Carry on a SLU Connection
Nearly 70 students from Saint Louis University’s incoming 2025 freshman class are the child, grandchild, sibling or family member of a current student or graduate, making them part of a Billiken legacy.
When legacy Billikens step onto SLU's campus as freshmen, it often isn’t for the first time. They grew up coming with their parents to games, helping siblings move in or out of residence halls, or returning with grandparents for Homecoming and Family Weekend. A connection to campus and dedication to academic excellence, leadership, faith and service are part of their family tradition.
“Being a part of a SLU legacy family is really important to me,” said sophomore Abby Geldmacher. “It’s a way for me to feel connected to my family. We all went to the same university, have all had similar experiences.”
