The Department of Neurology will present a Grand Rounds from 8 to 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, in Lecture Hall 1, Schwitalla Hall.
John Zempel, M.D, Ph.D., professor of neurology and pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine, will present “What seizures should we treat?”
Zempel is a pediatric epileptologist, one of 13, at the Washington University Pediatric Epilepsy Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Clinically, Zempel specializes in the treatment of children with intractable epilepsy, performs task based fMRI scans and high density EEG tests. Dr. Zempel has been active in EEG and neuroimaging research, using technologies such as HD-EEG, fMRI and EEG-fMRI.
