The 20th Anniversary Central Slavic Conference Keynote Lecture and Reception is titled "Hungary, 1956: Revolution or Counterrevolution? The Continuing Relevance of the Debate," and will take place at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Center for Global Citizenship Auditorium and Atrium.
The lecture will be given by Nyirkos Tamás, Ph.D., of Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Budapest, Hungary. The lecture is being delivered during the annual 2016 Central Slavic Conference, sponsored by the Center for International Studies and will coincide with the 60th Anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution.
