Learn about career paths outside of academia as part of “Humanities PhDs and the Non-academic Job Market: A Conversation With SLU American Studies Doctoral Alumni,” at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, via Zoom.
The panel highlights the diverse uses doctoral graduates make of their American Studies backgrounds and degrees. Participants will offer reflections on their own careers and their work’s relationship to American Studies, as well as advice for current SLU humanities graduate students on forging careers in areas such as professional writing and editing, public history and museums, and activism and organizing.
