Alicia Barnes, D.O., MPH., Amy Gallop, MD., MD, Rajat Duggirala, MD., and Ellen Kim, MD., will present, “Department of Psychiatry Diversity Equity and Inclusion Initiatives: Where do we go from here?”
Alicia Barnes, D.O., MPH, is a Child Psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neuroscience and a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathy. and Received her Masters in Public Health at Temple University in Philadelphia. She is the president of the Regional Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Organization. She is the Diversity Equity and inclusion Liason for the Department of Psychiatry and the Clerkship Director.
Amy Gallop, M.D., is a PGY2 resident in psychiatry and Chief Resident of scholarly activity this upcoming academic year 2021- 2022 at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is a member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion subcommittee. Her interests include CL psychiatry, public psychiatry, first break psychosis and nutrition psychiatry. She attended University of MN for undergrad and SLU for medical school.
Rajat Duggirala, M.D., is a rising second-year psychiatry resident at Saint Louis University. He got his undergraduate degree in Healthcare Management and Policy and his medical degree at Saint Louis University. He has worked with the underserved community since his undergraduate career ranging from Habitat for Humanity to health equity and education. He is continuing his efforts as a part of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion subcommittee along with other psychiatry residents and Dr. Alicia Barnes.
Ellen Kim, M.D., is a first-year psychiatry resident at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is a member of the Saint Louis University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
