The annual Fast-A-Thon is a day in which MSA encourages the SLU community to fast for a day, in solidarity with those less fortunate, as well as to see what it’s like for Muslims to fast during Ramadan. Following the fast, there will be a free dinner and a featured guest speaker. This year, MSA will be hosting civil rights activist Linda Sarsour, who was named among 500 of the most influential Muslims in the world.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, in the Busch Student Center’s St. Louis Room (doors will open at 5:30 p.m.). Sarsour will talk about Islamophobia.
The event is open to all of the SLU community, and the cost of the event is free.
