Dr. Harvey completed medical school and residency at the Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, and he continues to serve as part of the clinical faculty there. Along the way, he has had some published research including first author contributions in Biological Psychiatry, and in Brain Stimulation. Dr Harvey worked many years as a general psychiatrist in clinical practice in the Saint Louis area. In 2013 he began to focus on TMS, which is transcranial magnetic stimulation. Over the years, he built up a large TMS practice in Saint Louis. Later, Dr Harvey merged that practice with Greenbrook TMS, where he now serves as regional medical director. Dr Harvey’s primary professional interest continues to be TMS, and he is also especially interested in neuroscience in general, and in helping the public better understand mental health and psychiatry. Dr Harvey has been a frequent guest on local radio, and previously hosted a medical radio show.
