‘Prepare the Way’ Advent Twilight Retreat

Thursday, 01 December, 2016

Slow your rush to Christmas for an evening, and prepare for a more personal experience of the birth of Jesus.

Attend “Prepare the Way,” the Advent Twilight Retreat for faculty and staff, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec.  1, at Manresa Center.

The retreat director is John Vowells, S.J., minister at Bellarmine Jesuit House of Studies. Vowells also has served as pastor of St. Francis Xavier Church in Kansas City, and at Rockhurst University, as director of mission, then assistant to the vice president for mission and ministry. He will speak about the Incarnation - God becoming human - and share how Advent is a privileged time for preparing our hearts and minds to welcome the Incarnation into our lives.

The evening opens with a meal and includes input and time for personal reflection and communal prayer.  Cost is $5. Registration closes Monday, Nov. 28.

Register online at https://goo.gl/IETnpy. Participants can pay online or send a check, made payable to Saint Louis University, to Mission and Identity, DuBourg 211, north campus.

For more information, call the Office of Mission and Identity, 977-7065, or email jesuitmission@slu.edu.
