St. Louis Urban Debate League Tournament

The Department of Communication, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Office of Diversity and Community Engagement are sponsoring a St. Louis Urban Debate League tournament on campus on Saturday, Dec. 3.

The Urban Debate League provides underserved urban youth in the St. Louis area with opportunities for academic and personal growth through their engagement in debate programs and college readiness activities.

Students, faculty and staff in the SLU community are invited to volunteer to serve as judges for the tournament. 

Tournament Rounds, Times and Number of Volunteers Needed
Round 1: 9 to 10:45 a.m., 35 judges needed
Round 2: 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 35 judges needed
Round 3, 1:15 to 3 p.m., 35 judges needed
Round 4, 3:30 to 5:15 p.m., 40 judges needed
Finals, 6:45 to 8:30 p.m., 9 judges needed
