Grant Writing Workshop: “How to apply for the Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research (GIAR).”

On January 19 Dr. Blythe Janowiak, IDBI Co-Director and SLU Sigma Xi President-Elect, will be offering a grant writing workshop (it's free) for trainees interested in the Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research. Please see further details on the flyer attached. You do not need to be a Sigma Xi member to apply for this opportunity. Please share this opportunity with undergraduate and graduate students in your laboratories.

Sigma Xi Members: Award amounts for members range from $500 to $5,000 for graduate applicants and $500 to $2,000 for undergraduates.
Non-members: Award amounts for non-members, both graduate and undergraduate, are available up to $1,000.
Both members and non-members are eligible for designated funds from the National Academy of Sciences that allow for grants of up to $5,000 for astronomy research and $2,500 for vision-related research.
