Black History Month: Nikki Giovanni Keynote Lecture

The Black Student Alliance, the Cross Cultural Center and the Great Issues Committee will lead the University in a celebration of Black History Month throughout February.

All members of the SLU community are invited to participate in and attend informative discussions and a keynote lecture delivered by Nikki Giovanni from 7 to 7:50 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in the Saint Louis Room at Busch Student Center.

A famed poet, professor and activist, Giovanni will discuss hope despite the difficult times ahead due to recent developments in American politics and foreign policy.
