'Laudato Si and Pastoral Theology in Appalachia'

Monday, 13 February, 2017

Join Saint Louis University alumnus Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv., (A&S ‘90) for a talk titled “Laudato Si and Pastoral Theology in Appalachia,” at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, in the ballroom at St. Francis Xavier College Church.

As bishop of the Catholic Diocese in Lexington, Kentucky, Stowe has a unique perspective to offer in regards to the practical and pastoral implications of Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si.

Stowe will also highlight the role and voice of the laity through the recent People’s Pastoral from the Catholic Committee of Appalachia, “The Telling Takes Us Home” (2015).

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. Public parking is available on the street and in University garages for a fee.
