SLU undergraduate and graduate students will present their research and internship work pertaining to global and local social justice issues at the seventh annual conference Friday, Feb. 24, at the Center for Global Citizenship,
Roy Pereira, S. J., of St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, who is visiting SLU this semester will give a plenary address, entitled “Enough for Everyone's Need: Social Justice Issues in India,” at 2:30 pm.
Paper panels are at 1 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. and the poster session is from 3 to 4 p.m.
Students from Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky, will be attending. One will be the first presenter not from SLU.
The Global and Local Social Justice Program is a joint effort of Communication, Political Science, Sociology and Anthropology, and Women’s and Gender Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences, Social Work and Public Health in the College for Public Health and Social Justice, and the Center for Global Citizenship.
