SLU Law professor Constance Z. Wagner, J.D., will discuss "The Status of Women Faculty at SLU: A Report from the SLU Faculty Senate Gender Equity Task Force" from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, in Room 260 at McGannon Hall.
Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be provided.
About the talk: The Saint Louis University Gender Equity Task Force was formed in 2014 by the Faculty Senate and charged by President Fred Pestello with investigating the status
of women faculty at the university and making recommendations for needed
changes in policies and practices. Since that date, the Task Force has conducted
three empirical studies: a mapping of the distribution of women faculty across the
university, a faculty gender pay equity study, and a climate survey of faculty
perceptions of gender equity.
In this talk, SLU Law Professor Constance Z. Wagner, who serves as a co-chair of
the Task Force, will discuss the work of the Task Force, including the development
of recommendations addressed to the SLU administration for taking action to
improve the status of women faculty.
