Orthopaedic Surgery Grand Rounds

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery will host a Grand Rounds including the 8th Annual IC Middleman Memorial Lecture from 8 a.m. to noon, May 13, in the 3rd Floor Auditorium, SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital South Campus (formerly the Anheuser-Busch Institute).

The rounds begin with the lecture. Mark S. Schickendantz, M.D., will present “From Tommy John to Biologics: A Contemporary Approach to the Management of Ulnar Collateral Ligament Injuries.” Schickendantz is an associate professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. 

The educational objectives for the session are:

At the completion of this lecture the participants will be able to -

  • Recognize the gaps in knowledge of available treatments for ulnar collateral ligament injuries
  • Appreciate how this lack of recognition can affect patient care
  • Describe the opportunities for minimizing these knowledge gaps
