Nathan Lents, Ph.D., will present the inaugural Distinguished Alumnus Award and Lecture for graduate programs in the Biomedical Sciences at 3 p.m. May 17, in Lecture Hall 1, Schwitalla Hall. Lents’s lecture is titled “The Necrobiome: Using the Skin Microbiome to Determine Postmortem Interval.”
Lents a professor of molecular biology at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, The City University of New York, received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Physiology from SLU in 2004 and has gone one to a successful career developing novel approaches for the investigation of homicides, including accurate determinations of time of death. He is an author and founder of The Human Evolution Blog.
