Students in the Nutrition and Dietetics master’s program will host a course, “Cooking Classes 101,” from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., June 17, at the Allied Health Professions Building.
The courses aim to show participants easy, simple ways to make healthy, delicious meals while improving their eating habits and practicing culinary skills that can be used at home. The classes are appropriate to all ages groups.
Sessions will be hosted throughout the day or can be taken individually. Tickets for the entire day's courses are $30. Individual courses are now $10. Classes include making rice bowls, strawberry summer cake, sushi burritos and other dishes. All participants will be automatically entered to win a $20 gift card or a one-year subscription to a cooking magazine.
